Headteachers Welcome

Welcome to the All Saints First School Website, our school's online information point.

We form the Saints Federation with St Peters First School in Alton and St Augustine's First School Draycott in the Clay.

Our school aims to foster a Christian, caring ethos in which children thrive by celebrating achievement and making sure they feel valued and secure. All children are taught to respect others and they are provided with exciting learning opportunities, standards and the expectations of behaviour are high.

All Saints' Church of England (Controlled) First School is a Staffordshire County Council maintained school supported by the Lichfield Diocese. It caters for pupils between the ages of 4 and 9 years, normally residing in the rural area encompassed by Denstone, Hollington and Great Gate. However, pupils currently attend from out of catchment as well. We are part of a cluster of First schools that link with Ryecroft Middle School and we are also part of the Uttoxeter Partnership of schools.

The current school building was opened in the year 2000 and is set in extensive grounds which enable the children to have space to learn and play in the outside environment. We have a wildlife area with a pond which can be used as an outdoor classroom and a garden which has been developed by the skill of parents and the local community.

We offer our children a rich, broad and balanced curriculum that includes all the requirements of the National Curriculum. The school aims to provide the best possible educational opportunities to enable all children to achieve their full potential as well as activities outside the classroom that both enrich and inspire all pupils.

At All Saints' First school we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in 'Keeping Children Safe in Education 2014' and the 2011 'Prevent Strategy'. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism which can be found within our documents page.

We operate an 'open door' policy and you should always feel welcome. If you would like to come and see us, we would be delighted to show you around the school and answer your questions. Please contact the school office to arrange a convenient time to come and see what All Saints' First School can offer. We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
